HOST: The Gateway Project is un umbrella for a dozen projects. The most urgent is the one to build a tunnel under the Hudson River between New York and New Jersey. It’s the most urgent because the existing tunnels are about a hundred years old, and were floaded by hurrican Sandy with salt water that is making the concrete to corrode. The tunnels will have to be shut down in the next ten years, so they have to be replaced. But who is going to pay for it? I talked with Jeff Davis from the Eno Center for Transportation, to ask him if the new spending bill has founding for the Hudson tunnel.
