HOST, DESIREE NIKFARDJAM
I’m standing on the corner of one fourthteenth and Amsterdam. My name is Desiree Nikfardjam. I’m here with my colleague Claire Davenport. We were just pushed out of Columbia’s morning side campus by the NYPD.
They pushed us through the gates on one fourteenth on the east side on Amsterdam. We’re now stuck in a barricade looking onto the street. There are no developments yet, but people are walking and people are chanting. But police keep walking back and forth.

There’s no press allowed on campus at this time and many students as we were getting pushed out were being locked into both Wallach and John Jay residences. There’s no observers on campus at this time either to witness the arrests of the students that occupied Hamilton Hall. This story is developing.
