At the Met Gala last weekend, celebrities in elaborate costumes paraded up the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. They were there, dressed as trendy monks and Catholic icons, to raise money for the museum’s newest Costume Institute exhibit. That exhibit, called Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination, opened today. Reporters Wendy Rhodes and Sarah Wyman report the exhibit is landing well with young audiences.
If you ask a baseball fan, they’ll tell you there are two kinds of New Yorkers: Yankees fans and Mets fans. And according to a new poll from Quinnipiac University, Yankees fans are winning the numbers game—by a lot. Only 34 percent of New York City baseball fans prefer the Mets. And the Mets aren’t known for winning baseball games either. So reporter Sarah Wyman set out in search of what else is keeping them on the hook.
