CHAVA: As the New York State Legislature gets closer to the April 1st budget deadline. it’s been rough week for some of Governor Cuomo’s biggest proposals. He may have to gut several measure…an increase to minimum wage workers, support for education… and tuition assistance for the DREAM Act.
CAMILLE: That could impact the Dream Act – which would have allowed undocumented immigrants who came to the country as children to pay in-state tuition and make them eligible for financial aid from the state.
To protest the possible cut, ten students of City University of New York are on the third day of a hunger strike.
